Children

A special family hotel

Holidaying at Het Roode Koper means one big party for children. Put on your boots and head into the woods! With the 'Tracking Tracks' walk, children discover the animals and plants in the forest. The garden offers plenty of space to play hide-and-seek or football, and baking cookies is a favorite during family weekends or weddings!

A splash in the water

The heated outdoor pool is open from April 1 to November 1. It is children's favorite spot to cool off.

While the children splash around in the water one more time, you can relax on one of the sun loungers, sip a nice cocktail, and enjoy a wonderful day.

a game of tennis

Tucked away among the rhododendrons on our estate lies the tennis court. Do the children challenge you to a game of tennis? The tennis court is open all year round. Rackets are ready for the children.

bake your own pizza

You enjoy an aperitif while the children bake their own pizzas with our chef. Do they prefer something sweet? Then they can also bake cookies with our pastry chef. Or make their own dessert!

Mountain biking in the woods

Take a mountain bike ride through the forest and across the heath. Along the way, you will pass lovely spots for a delicious pancake. Fun tours starting from the hotel are available as short as 5 kilometers. Please let us know when making your reservation if you wish to rent children's bikes or mountain bikes, so they will be ready upon arrival.

Fun day trips

Within a half-hour drive from our estate, there are many sporting, recreational, and cultural day trips to take with children. A small selection of the possibilities:

  • Scramble and climb? You can do that at Klimbos Veluwe or at the Koningin Julianatoren amusement park, both in Apeldoorn.
  • Would you rather watch other climbers? Go to Apenheul in Apeldoorn or visit Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem.
  • The Dolfinarium is fun for watching seals and dolphins swim. Besides our own pool, the children themselves can also swim in one of the nearby forest pools.
  • A visit to De Hoge Veluwe National Park with the Kröller-Müller Museum is definitely not to be missed.
  • And is Paleis Het Loo on the children's list too?
  • Museums that are fun and interesting for children: Dutch Bakery Museum in Hattem, Museonder, Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem.
