staying in a private villa
Thanks to its quiet location along the edge of the woods and its sunny setting, the private villa at our estate is the ideal spot for a great holiday for families. The villa is surrounded by a spacious garden with several terraces; there is a private sauna and you can have an own staff at your disposal.
Your arrival-day at the hotel
We warmly welcome you and invite you to take a slow start of your exploring tour: go swimming in the heated pool, make a walk in the woods, go cycling across the heathland or choose for unwinding on the terrace.
DayTRIP To De Hoge Veluwe
One day, make a visit to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe and the Kröller-Müller Museum (40 minutes drive). By foot or by free White Bicycle you explore Dutch' most beautiful nature area and world's second largest Van Gogh collection.
CITYTRIP TO Amsterdam
Enjoy the bustle of the city and make a daytrip to the Dutch capital Amsterdam (60 minutes drive) with no less than 165 canals crossed by over 1,200 bridges. Must-sees are the Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House.
A DAY OF UNWINDING
Enjoy an unwinding day at the estate: you can go cycling, swimming, playing tennis, horseback riding, visiting the picturesque Elburg (30 minutes drive) or Harderwijk (15 minutes drive) for a beautiful city walk. It's all up to you – there aren't any obligations here.
EXPLORE DUTCH VENICE
Giethoorn (60 minutes drive), a mostly car-free village, is known for its boat-filled waterways, footpaths, bicycle trails and centuries-old thatched-roof houses. Discover the rustic village and her surroundings by renting a whisper boat. End your Giethoorn visit by dining at our Relais & Chateaux colleague De Lindenhof, a 2-Michelin-star restaurant.
DAY 6: Poolhouse-day
After your check-out today, you can choose to travel further into Holland or to stay at our estate for a relaxing day at The Poolhouse.
TRAVEL SUGGESTION
After your check-out you travel further into Holland? We suggest you to visit UNESCO World Heritage Kinderdijk (75 minutes drive), a typical Dutch polder landscape with windmills. Nice to combine this with a visit to Rotterdam (30 minutes drive from Kinderdijk) with a cruise through the harbor and a visit to the Euromast for a spectacular skyline view. Then drive on for 60 minutes to Relais & Chateaux Manoir Restaurant Inter Scaldes (3 Michelinstars), situated in the Province of Zeeland.
